A couple of days ago. I search for information on the Liberty Foundry HY-C G27 G-Series Franklin Style Cast Iron Fireplace Grate, so i would like to bring a story to tell.
the money I spent on grids of steel similar with a steel mesh on the bottom at Home Depot has proven not to be a good investment. steel grilles soften and deform after being repeatedly heated (~ 1 year of use). steel mesh caps up quickly with ashes and wood shavings, impede the flow of air to the fuel and it is very difficult to erase.
